Gillian

Experience and Specialties 

Gillian Byers is a Body Positive ACE Certified Personal Trainer  and Certified Reembody Method Apprentice who is contracted with Chehalem Physical Therapy.

She works with many fitness levels helping you listen to your body so you can build strength and ease of movement for your everyday life. She offers sessions and classes in person, as well as online via Zoom. 

On a Personal Note

On her freetime, Gillian enjoys nature, reading, music, connecting with friends & family and getting movement insights from her adorable toddler nephews.

Jeanene

Experience and Specialties 

Jeanene is a Massage Therapist Licensed through the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists (OBMT) with seven years of clinical experience in a health care setting. In 2018 she became a Certified Personal Trainer through American Council on Exercise (ACE). She joins the team at Chehalem Physical Therapy with a lifelong passion for exercise, nutrition, and cardiovascular health.

She is a native Oregonian and graduated from OSU with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science and completed her massage training at the East West School of Massage. She specializes in deep tissue therapeutic massage using Swedish massage strokes, trigger point therapy and neuromuscular release techniques. For fitness activities Jeanene primarily employs weightlifting, Pilates, and cardiovascular activities.

“As an athlete and active exerciser, I have learned the value of massage in reducing muscle tension while promoting greater flexibility and range of motion. As a massage therapist, I truly enjoy caring for people and educating them on the many benefits that massage has to offer including; improving muscle tone and blood circulation, reducing stress and tension, and improving one’s health and wellness overall.”

On a Personal Note

On her days off, Jeanene likes to take long walks and hike with family and friends. She has many interests including reading, gardening, listening to music, playing golf and she enjoys trips to the beach.

Lisa

Experience and Specialties 

Lisa graduated from George Fox University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She had the unique opportunity during her clinical rotations to work with patients with breast cancer while they were undergoing chemo and radiation therapy. Lisa would like to continue working with this population of patients using a holistic approach to reduce the side effects of cancer treatment through movement, manual therapy, meditation and breathing exercises.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Lisa was in the fitness industry for over twenty years, teaching yoga, Pilates, strength and conditioning and water fitness programs. She incorporates her unique fitness background into her treatment with every patient, promoting optimum health and wellbeing.

On a Personal Note

Lisa, her husband Rob, and their three daughters have lived in the Sherwood community for over twenty years. In her free time, Lisa loves hiking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing and working in her garden. She volunteers for Golden Bond Rescue and you will often see her walking through town with her three foster failures.
