Alex Swartz, DPT

Experience and Specialties

Alex graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from George Fox University in 2020, and went on to graduate with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oregon State University in 2025.

Alex likes to focus his treatment on methods that actively engage his patients in their own care, with them regaining their functional independence in the activities they not only need to do, but want to do. Alex personally has an interest in Strength and Conditioning with 10+ years of personal experience in weight and resistance training. Alex would like to further specialize in becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist to further hone their skills in the orthopedic landscape of physical therapy and provide his patients with the best care he possibly can.

On a Personal Note

Alex, his wife, and their Siamese cat, Simon, moved back to Newberg in June 2025. Eugene, Oregon is home to both Alex and his wife, but are looking forward to setting roots in Newberg as they continue to grow and develop here, since Newberg is: “A Great Place to Grow.” Alex has been called a gentle giant and is really a big nerd and geek at heart. If you’re looking to get him to not stop talking, just bring up anything video game or technology related!
