Maria graduated with a Bachelors in Occupational Therapy from University of Alberta, Canada in 1994.  She went on to gain valuable experience working for 7 years in a rehabilitation hospital.  During that time, she developed and operated a Rheumatology program. Since 2001, she has been specializing in treating disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow and arm.

Maria is the only Certified Hand Therapist in Yamhill County. She received her certification in 2004. As a Certified Hand Therapist, Maria offers our community years of experience in treating patients with various upper extremity diagnoses, offering in-depth evaluations and specialized treatment to gain optimal results.

Many therapists are capable of treating some upper extremity conditions, but a Certified Hand Therapist has to go through advanced education and meet rigorous criteria in order to maintain this credential. Maria is able to give her patients a more accurate assessment and more effective treatment to reduce the overall treatment time and give them a faster recovery.

Appointments with Maria focus around a 60 minute appointment in which she treats the underlying cause, relieves pain, and helps educate the patient in home exercise.

Maria was the recipient of the Evelyn J. Mackin Fellowship in Hand Therapy at Philadelphia Hand Center in 2002, working with exceptional surgeons and hand therapists from across the nation.

Serving the Yamhill County & surrounding areas with physical therapy & rehabilitation since 1996.
